Depending on the project, FBC coordinates marine engineering, barge selection, load distribution, stability and ballasting requirements, cargo securement, towing resources, site conditions, and operational sequencing. Early involvement allows potential constraints to be identified before they affect the schedule.

The Right Loading Method for Every Cargo
No two project cargoes or loading sites are exactly alike. FBC develops loadout solutions based on cargo configuration, available access, lifting requirements, water depth, tidal conditions, and the capabilities of the origin and destination facilities.
Services include roll-on/roll-off operations using self-propelled modular transporters, lift-on/lift-off operations using heavy-lift cranes, and float-on/float-off operations for dredges and other floating equipment.

Reliable Transportation for Massive and Complex Cargo
Florida Barge Corp offers ABS-class barges ranging from 150 feet by 50 feet to 400 feet by 100 feet, supported by U.S.-flag towing vessels with up to 5,000 horsepower.
FBC transports bridge components, transformers, turbines, industrial modules, dredging equipment, floating structures, and other oversized cargo. The company has successfully handled individual cargoes exceeding 300 feet and three million pounds.
From departure planning and towing coordination through arrival, unloading, and final delivery, FBC manages each movement as a complete operation. Customers receive one experienced point of contact responsible for keeping the project coordinated, responsive, and moving forward.
